Your Role:
As an Occupational or Physical Therapist specializing in hand therapy, you will:
Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for hand, wrist, elbow, and related upper extremity conditions.
Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, wound management, edema control, and custom splint fabrication.
Collaborate with surgeons, referring providers, and the clinical team to ensure coordinated, patient‑centered care.
Use outcome tools and EMR documentation to track patient progress and communicate goals effectively.
Educate patients and caregivers on condition management, activity modification, and injury prevention.
Participate in program development and serve as a clinical resource within the hand therapy specialty.
Requirements
Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy program
Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice
Prior experience in upper extremity/hand therapy is a plus, but mentorship is available for those passionate about pursuing this specialty.
