Job Description - Outreach and Education Coordinator, Occupational Health Albany,
The Opportunity
Most public health jobs ask you to keep a program running. This one asks you to start one.
A Syracuse-based occupational health clinical center, which diagnoses, treats, and prevents work-related illness and injury, is opening a satellite office in Albany with new grant funding. As the Outreach and Education Coordinator, you would build the relationships that connect Capital Region workers to those services, from the first union meeting onward. It is a direct-hire, on-staff position paying $65,000-$75,000, with relocation assistance available.
Why This Opportunity Is Worth a Look
Build, don't inherit. The Albany office is new. You would shape the outreach program as it grows rather than step into an established routine.
Mission-driven work. Your efforts go toward protecting the health and safety of workers at risk of injury and illness on the job.
Backing from an established team. You would work with the occupational health team in Syracuse while you build Albany.
Room for the role to grow. The schedule is near full time and flexible, with the potential for more hours as the Albany program expands.
Relocation assistance. Paid relocation is available, and the employer is open to candidates from anywhere in the country.
Location. Albany sits in the Capital Region near Troy, Schenectady, and Saratoga Springs, about two hours from Boston and two and a half to three hours from New York City.
Please note this is a grant-funded position.
