About the Role

Vertex is looking for a detail-oriented overnight kitchen cleaner to deep clean and sanitize commercial kitchens. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in making sure the kitchens are up to standard.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all food prep surfaces, cooking equipment, and appliances


• Degrease and clean grills, fryers, ovens, hoods, and range tops


• Sweep, mop, and scrub kitchen floors, floor drains, and walk-in coolers/freezers


• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils as needed


• Empty trash and recycling, and clean and sanitize bins


• Clean walls, shelving, and storage areas


• Restock cleaning supplies and report low inventory


• Follow all health and safety regulations and proper chemical handling procedures


• Complete cleaning checklists and report equipment damage, pests, or safety hazards to the manager

Requirements

• Ability to work overnight shifts, including [weekends/holidays]


• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


• Reliable and punctual, with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous commercial kitchen, janitorial, or dishwashing experience


• Familiarity with commercial cleaning chemicals and equipment
