Packager

Quanex is looking for a Packager to join our team located in Arlington TX.

The Packager is responsible for inspecting and packaging products prior to shipping. The schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.

What Success Looks Like:

• Ensure all packages leaving the packaging area meet the quality standards.


• Monitor products constantly to ensure that quality standards are met and reject products that do not meet those quality standards.


• Monitor packages for proper counts, packaging tickets, pallet height, pallet size, color of plastic wrap, and protective corners.


• Take sample pieces from order and check against shop drawings to ensure proper quality.


• Remove the route sheet from the order and prepare the packaging ticket.


• Place cardboard corners and covers on order and write order identification on the cover.


• Wrap the order in plastic either by hand or with a shrink wrapper or band orders as needed. 


• Enter the order into the computer after it has been packaged and place packing tickets on pallets.


• Write the ship date on the packaging envelope with the customer sticker.


• Ticket and re-package BIA inventory and print packaging information.

What You Bring: 

• High School education or equivalent


• At least six months of related experience in a similar industry. 

The hourly wage for this position is $16.00 per hour.
