Packaging Manager

A well-established, highly successful manufacturing organization in the Utica, NY area is seeking an experienced and results-driven Packaging Manager to lead all packaging operations. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring packaging processes are executed safely while meeting quality, production volume, and efficiency goals to support on-time customer delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing packaging operations in a high-speed manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, continuous improvement experience, and the ability to optimize productivity while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards are essential.

• Provide overall leadership and management of the Packaging Department, overseeing all packaging operations and employees in partnership with the Packaging Supervisor.
• Lead maintenance activities by troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs, and providing technical guidance and training to the team.
•  Develop and implement packaging strategies that maximize product quality, operational efficiency, and production output.
•  Establish and manage departmental project plans and preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
•  Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement with a strong focus on "Do It Right the First Time" principles.
•  Drive initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency while reducing overall production costs.
•  Manage multiple high-speed packaging lines simultaneously, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and customer delivery requirements are consistently met.
•  Develop, mentor, and coach team members by creating and implementing effective training and cross-training programs to enhance technical skills and career development.
•  Monitor departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve performance, minimize downtime, and maximize equipment reliability.
•  Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations and continuous process improvement.

Compensation Range: $115,000 - $125,000 Annually based on experience and qualifications.
