We are seeking an experienced Packaging Supervisor / Manager to oversee day-to-day packaging operations within a regulated manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing packaging activities while ensuring product quality, compliance, safety, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will lead and develop packaging personnel, oversee packaging equipment and processes, and ensure adherence to applicable cGMP, FDA, OSHA, and SOP requirements.
Required: Hands-on experience with bottling packaging lines within a pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food manufacturing environment. Pharmaceutical packaging experience is highly preferred.
Plan and execute packaging activities based on production requirements, available manpower, and equipment capacity.
Ensure packaging operations consistently meet established quality and production specifications.
Optimize available resources to achieve production targets for cost, quality, and delivery.
Oversee packaging operations and ensure efficient utilization of equipment, materials, and personnel.
Manage packaging-related activities within ERP and other applicable business systems, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
Execute packaging exhibit, characterization, and validation batches.
Oversee cleaning verification and validation activities for packaging equipment.
Supervise, motivate, and support packaging personnel on a day-to-day basis.
Provide training on SOPs, cGMP requirements, investigations, CAPAs, protocols, and packaging-related quality issues.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and effective communication within the packaging function.
Develop employee capabilities and reinforce adherence to established procedures and quality standards.
Address performance, operational, and personnel issues appropriately.
Maintain a GMP-compliant packaging work environment.
Ensure production activities meet applicable FDA, OSHA, cGMP, and internal quality requirements.
Monitor packaging-related change controls, deviations, and investigations.
Ensure CAPAs and associated action items are completed accurately and on time.
Review and approve packaging records, protocols, reports, and other applicable documentation.
Ensure packaging processes and documentation remain inspection-ready and compliant.
Enforce applicable safety procedures and SOP requirements across packaging operations.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure employees follow established safety practices.
Identify and address operational risks within the packaging environment.
Monitor packaging performance, progress, issues, corrective actions, and ongoing projects.
Communicate operational status and key issues to site and operations leadership.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, increased efficiency, and improved equipment utilization.
Support cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Warehouse, Supply Chain, HR, and other relevant teams.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Pharmacy, Engineering, or a related discipline.
8–10 years of packaging supervisory or management experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Hands-on experience with bottling packaging lines in a pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food manufacturing environment.
Pharmaceutical packaging experience is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements and regulated manufacturing environments.
Experience with packaging investigations, deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and validation activities.
Experience with packaging equipment cleaning verification/validation.
Experience supervising and developing packaging teams.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.

Ability to perform light to moderate lifting of approximately 10–15 lbs.
Approximately 10% travel may be required.
