Packaging Technician – Material Handler

1^st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6AM-3:30PM & Friday 6AM-10AM

Location: 2700 S Custer Ave, Wichita, KS 67217

Job Description:

Responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, organization of inventory and supports distribution processes by loading outbound shipments for timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Move product both internally as well as load product into outbound vehicles using forklifts (stand up and sit down), pallet jacks, or other equipment

Operate and maintain material-handling equipment safely, including performing pre-use inspections

Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

Follow procedures for handling hazardous materials when applicable, including obtaining necessary certifications.

Lift various heavy items safely – using team lift when necessary

Use assorted measuring and weight recording devices

Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience of operating material handling equipment: forklifts (stand up and sit down), pallet jackets or other equipment for transporting products

Organizational skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners

Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Ability to work safely in a production environment

U.S. citizenship and valid driver’s license required
