Purpose: To wrap, label and load all finished goods coming off assigned work centers.
Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
- Coordinate the flow of finished product from the winders to and from the packing area.
- Operate a lift truck and all other support equipment.
- The ability to organize and process multiple shop orders including varying grades of product, roll sizes and packing put-up.
- Responsible for the proper packing, labeling and loading of all paper processed in accordance with the customer item directory, packing diagrams and boms.
- Ability to fill in as machine tender as necessary.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Communicate complete and accurate information at shift change or when relieved.
- Ability to work carefully around potentially dangerous machinery.
Education, Technical Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or it’s equivalent.
- Minimal 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimal 1 year packing experience.
- Basic math skills and have the ability to read and write English.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to continuously lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work while being exposed to temperature variation.
- Vision tested minimum requirements for converting operation is corrected to 20/40 far vision and 20/30 for near vision.
