Packer (581) - 2 Openings

Purpose: To wrap, label and load all finished goods coming off assigned work centers.

Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions:

1. Coordinate the flow of finished product from the winders to and from the packing area.


2. Operate a lift truck and all other support equipment.


3. The ability to organize and process multiple shop orders including varying grades of product, roll sizes and packing put-up.


4. Responsible for the proper packing, labeling and loading of all paper processed in accordance with the customer item directory, packing diagrams and boms.


5. Ability to fill in as machine tender as necessary.


6. Ability to work with minimal supervision.


7. Communicate complete and accurate information at shift change or when relieved.


8. Ability to work carefully around potentially dangerous machinery.

Education, Technical Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:

1. High school diploma or it’s equivalent.


2. Minimal 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment.


3. Minimal 1 year packing experience.


4. Basic math skills and have the ability to read and write English.

Physical Demands:

1. Ability to continuously lift up to 50lbs.


2. Ability to work while being exposed to temperature variation.


3. Vision tested minimum requirements for converting operation is corrected to 20/40 far vision and 20/30 for near vision.
