This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.\n\nPerforms a variety of duties assisting mechanical engineers in the fabrication and development of mechanical engineering designs, painting/coating and modifications of assemblies and related hard ware. With little supervision, technician must demonstrate good knowledge of painting/coating processes including experience with painting and coating of flight hardware. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.\n\n * Seven years of experience in the use coating equipment.\n\n * Proficient in use of precision measuring instruments. \n\n * Experience in handling chemicals such as Isopropyl Alcohol and Acetone\n\n * Adept at reading drawings, process specification, and work order instructions. \n\n * Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security clearance or SCI Access.\n\n * Willing to work any shift.\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * AA degree or other two-year technical degree\n\n * Familiar with Northrop Grumman Corporation processes.\n\n * Seven years of experience in the use of prepreg, bagging, autoclaves, ovens and release materials.\n\n * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to supplement work order and other data requirements \n\n * Able to perform work daily in an approved clean room environment, to include wearing clean room garments.\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
