Painter/ Maintenance Technician

Luther Village, a premier independent senior living community in Arlington Heights, is seeking a skilled and dependable Painter & Maintenance Technician to join our Plant Operations team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, attractive, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and guests.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform interior and exterior painting, staining, and wall covering
• Prepare and repair surfaces, including drywall, plaster, and sheetrock
• Restore vacated apartments to move-in-ready condition
• Complete general maintenance repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile work, and irrigation systems
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests promptly and professionally
• Assist with preventive maintenance and seasonal duties, including snow removal
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition
• Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and coworkers

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 3 years of painting experience preferred
• General maintenance experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding
