Paraprofessional

Abbott Elementary has an innovative afterschool education program that uses machine learning and AI to provide students with a more holistic learning experience. We are seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals to support our instructional team in delivering high-quality, inclusive programming.

Your Role Will Include:

• Support lead instructors in delivering daily lesson plans and classroom activities aligned to the program curriculum.
• Provide individualized support to students, including those with diverse learning needs, to ensure full participation and comprehension.
• Assist with classroom management, maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
• Help facilitate AI and technology-based learning activities under the direction of the lead instructor.
• Communicate regularly with program staff regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience working with K–12 students in a classroom, tutoring, or youth program setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to connect with students from diverse cultural, religious, and social backgrounds.
• Ability to follow direction from lead instructors and work collaboratively as part of a program team.
• Must successfully pass a background check and reference check prior to placement.

Salary and Benefits:

• $20.00 – $25.00 per hour..

Location & Shift Times: 

• Abbot Elementary, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM.
