JusticeWorks YouthCare is hiring Parenting Education Specialists in Crawford County! This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with families, provide practical parenting education and support, and help families reach their goals and become more independent.
You’ll spend your time working one-on-one with families in their homes and communities, assessing their needs, providing education and guidance, and partnering with county professionals to help families make meaningful progress.

What You'll Do
As a Parenting Education Specialist, you will:
- Visit families in their homes and provide individualized support and education.
- Assess family strengths, needs, and areas of concern.
- Teach parents practical skills related to parenting, communication, child development, and family well-being.
- Help parents develop strategies to create a safe, healthy, and supportive home environment.
- Work collaboratively with county professionals and other service providers to support family goals.
- Develop and implement appropriate interventions using evidence-based and best-practice approaches.
- Help families work toward their goals and develop the skills necessary to function independently of formal services.
- Connect families with appropriate community resources and support services.
- Monitor family progress and communicate updates with county partners and JusticeWorks staff.
- Transport clients when necessary using a personal vehicle.
- Travel throughout Crawford County and be comfortable driving in a variety of weather and road conditions.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who is compassionate, dependable, comfortable working independently, and passionate about helping families succeed.
You must:
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Have a valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable access to a personal vehicle.
- Be comfortable working in family homes and having conversations about parenting, family needs, and areas for improvement.
- Be comfortable assessing family needs and providing constructive education and guidance.
- Be comfortable collaborating with county professionals and other service providers.
- Be willing to drive throughout Crawford County in a variety of weather and road conditions.
- Be able to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Pass all applicable clearances.
- Pass a pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
