Job Description - Partnership Associate

Location: Los Angeles, California (Hybrid preferred)


Type: Full-time or Contract-to-Hire


Level: Entry to Mid-Level


Compensation: Base salary of $60,000 to $85,000 plus performance bonus and growth pathway

Role Overview


The Partnership Associate will be a key part of our growth team. This role involves creating strong first impressions, starting meaningful conversations with agency owners, and building momentum in the sales pipeline.


This is not a cold, transactional sales job. It is about building trust, sharing a clear and compelling story, and opening doors for long-term partnerships.


We do not require a background in insurance. We are looking for someone with presence, professionalism, and the ability to connect with people. We will provide training and support.




Responsibilities



  • Reach out to independent insurance agencies and open new conversations


  • Conduct discovery calls with agency owners and executives


  • Represent COVU in meetings, events, and other outreach efforts


  • Build relationships through thoughtful follow-up and communication


  • Work closely with sales and marketing leadership to support outreach strategy


  • Use tools like HubSpot or Salesforce to track progress and manage leads


  • Learn quickly and contribute actively to team goals




What We Are Looking For



  • Strong communication skills and a warm, professional presence


  • Prior experience in client-facing roles such as sales, real estate, hospitality, or public relations


  • High energy, persistence, and the ability to follow through


  • Willingness to learn and take feedback


  • Confidence in virtual meetings and in-person interactions


  • Based in Los Angeles or willing to spend time there as needed


  • Bonus: familiarity with insurance or software is helpful but not required




Compensation and Benefits



  • Base salary of $60,000 to $85,000 depending on experience
