Schedule & Location:

  • Blue Ash, OH - Warehouse environment
  • Monday-Friday
  • Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM (1 hour lunch)
  • Some overtime available


Position Overview

Reporting to the Parts Support Manager, the Parts & Tire Press Assistant is responsible for accurately distributing and receiving parts/products along with pressing forklift tires. Responsibilities will include tire pressing, inventory maintenance, service van replenishment, labeling of parts, boxing/bagging of parts, pulling orders, putting parts in proper locations, shipping and receiving, and general cleaning. The role must accurately follow procedures as illustrated in the parts operating manual. The position also assists RSCI service technicians with parts and supplies requirements and inquiries.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Tire Pressing (30%-%40)
    • Consists of pressing solid tires onto steel hubs. This involves pressing the tire onto the steel hub, using a hydraulic press, to ensure the tire is securely and evenly pressed onto the hub.
    • Pressing forklift tires is physically demanding and requires significant strength and endurance. The process involves handling heavy materials, such as solid rubber tires and steel hubs, which can weigh a considerable amount. Workers must often lift, move, and position these components, which can be awkward and challenging due to their size and weight.
    • The process typically involves the following physical demands:
      • Heavy Lifting: Tires and hubs are heavy, and workers must frequently lift and move them, often in awkward positions.
      • Repetitive Motions: The process of pressing tires onto hubs involves repetitive movements, such as lifting, positioning, and operating a hydraulic press, which can lead to muscle fatigue.
      • Standing for Long Periods: Workers are usually on their feet for extended periods, which can be tiring and place stress on the lower back and legs.
      • Use of Force: Operating the hydraulic press and ensuring the tire is securely pressed onto the hub requires the application of force and precision, adding to the physical strain.
      • Postural Stress: The need to work in various positions, including bending, squatting, or leaning, can strain muscles and joints, particularly in the back, shoulders, and arms.
    • Overall, the job demands good physical conditioning, awareness of proper lifting techniques, and attention to ergonomic practices to reduce the risk of injury.
  • Assisting Parts Associate in the warehouse parts cage (60%-70%)
    • Receive and process parts and supply orders/reconcile with purchase order(s)
    • Process incoming deliveries
    • Picking, packing and shipping/delivery of orders
    • Complete daily service van replenishments
    • Maintain clean and organized work area and inventory
    • Maintain and promote a safe working environment
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Parts Support Manager or branch Parts Lead
    • Perform daily inventory cycle counts
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), and/or technical school
  • Ability and experience in a physically demanding work environment
  • One to three years’ related experience in the lift truck, heavy equipment, or automotive parts industry preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be comfortable with fast-pace, high volume and multi-tasking
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures from manual
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Must work well independently and in team environment
  • Must be a driven and self-motivated individual
  • Must be willing and able to work in warehouse environment, on feet majority of time
