Lockhart Cadillac Greenwood is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Counter Person to join our team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, organized, customer-focused, and able to accurately support retail customers, wholesale accounts, and dealership service technicians in a fast-paced parts department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist retail and wholesale customers and service technicians with parts inquiries and orders.


• Identify and locate the correct parts using electronic catalogs, vehicle information, and manufacturer resources.


• Prepare accurate estimates, invoices, special orders, and returns.


• Maintain clear communication regarding availability, pricing, substitutions, and order status.


• Receive, stock, organize, and help maintain accurate parts inventory.


• Process warranty, core, and return items according to dealership and manufacturer procedures.


• Support department sales, gross-profit, customer-satisfaction, and inventory-control goals.


• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional parts counter and storage area.

Required Qualifications

• Previous automotive parts experience is required.


• Working knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and terminology.


• Ability to read and interpret parts catalogs, repair orders, and vehicle identification information.


• Strong computer, data-entry, and basic math skills.


• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.


• Dependable attendance and willingness to work the dealership’s scheduled hours.


• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.


• Ability to safely lift and move parts and packages are commonly handled in an automotive parts department.


• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• General Motors parts experience is preferred.


• Experience with dealership management systems and GM electronic parts catalogs.


• Experience supporting wholesale parts accounts or a dealership service department.


• Familiarity with inventory-control, warranty, and core-return procedures.
