Parts Counterperson

We are seeking a Parts Counter Person for our Lincoln of Wayne Dealership in Wayne, NJ.

The Parts Counter Person is responsible for customer service and retail sales at an auto parts store. In this position, your responsibilities include selling parts and taking inventory of stock in storage and, if necessary, on shelves

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire life cycle of parts sales, from inquiry to fulfillment


• Collaborate with the parts manager to source out-of-stock items


• Handle customer requests for special-order parts with accuracy and efficiency


• Keep customers informed about the status of their orders


• Interact with both team members and customers in a courteous, professional manner


• Adhere to all company safety guidelines and protocols


• Stay compliant with relevant federal, state, and local industry regulations

Requirements:

• Prior experience at a Ford or Lincoln dealership is preferred


• Familiarity with CDK software is preferred


• Skilled at quickly diagnosing issues and identifying root causes


• Solid understanding of automotive systems and components


• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities


• Competent in reading, math, and using computers effectively


• Capable of picking up new tools, technologies, and service techniques


• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing for long periods


• Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-moving shop environment


• Basic proficiency with computers and common software platforms


• Brings a positive, approachable demeanor to the team


• High school diploma or equivalent education required


• Background in automotive parts sales is preferred


• Thrives under pressure and manages multiple tasks efficiently


• Well-organized, detail-focused, and maintains a clean, professional appearance
