Responsibilities
The Parts Director leads parts operations across our locations, supports our Parts Managers, and helps each department meet its sales, service, and financial goals. Responsibilities include:
- Establish consistent parts processes and standards across all locations.
- Develop sales strategies and dealership pricing plans, including pricing and quoting of national accounts.
- Develop marketing strategy with Parts Managers and Marketing to develop an advertising plan.
- Work with each Parts Manager to prepare annual operating budgets, forecasts, and objectives.
- Monitor department performance at each location and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to help Parts employees grow within the department.
- Hold regular meetings with Parts Managers and visit each location routinely.
- Assist Parts Managers with customer concerns.
- Work closely with the Service Director to strengthen coordination between Parts and Service.
- Coordinate with factory representatives to support department needs.
- Ensure each location follows applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including those related to hazardous materials, OSHA, and Right-to-Know.
- Assist Parts Managers with employee performance or conduct concerns in accordance with company policy.
- Monitor compliance with company accounting guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years of relevant experience, or at least 5 years of applicable experience.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to routinely travel to all 5 locations.
