Parts Support

Phil Long Ford of Motor City is searching for Parts Support. This is an entry level, hourly, position working in a fast-paced environment. The perfect candidate will have a strong work ethic and strong attention to detail.

Job Summary:

A Parts Puller is responsible for pulling parts for delivery or for customer pick up.

Duties:

• Pull parts from designated locations based on a ticket or parts invoice, with 100% accuracy, and stage for delivery or will call in the appropriate bins.


• Communicate any inventory discrepancies to the sales team.


• Assist with stock keeping duties when necessary.


• Assist in keeping the parts department clean and orderly.


• Responsible for routine picking, receiving, shipping and packing parts.


• Preparing orders for shipment


• Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.


• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.


• Ability to perform accurate and detailed work.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.


• Experience: Detailed clerical, inventory, and shipping/receiving experience.


• Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Automotive parts knowledge preferred.


• Lift 60-70 pounds


• Able to be Forklift Certified


• Go up and down stairs multiple times a day


• Not be confused by letters and numbers in combinations


• Have basic math skills


• Be punctual


• Have exceptional attendance, Mon-Fri


• Know the nomenclature for common automobile parts


• Have a desire to learn the parts business


• Clean driving record
