Patient Care Assistant - ICU, Nights

The Patient Care Assistant position is part of the ICU Department and is a full-time working approximately 72 hours per two-week pay period, with night shift responsibility, working from 6:45pm-7:15am. May include a combination of 12-hour and 8-hour shifts. The schedule includes weekend and holiday responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Hospital and departmental experience preferred

• Strong initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

• Customer service oriented and able to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and perform non-professional services to meet the personal needs and comfort of patients

• Use a systematic approach to assess patient needs and work collaboratively with nursing and ancillary staff

• Adhere to all assigned standards and promote teamwork within the department

• Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and smooth ICU operations
