Patient Counseling + Clinical Pharmacist

Advanced Rx is a compounding pharmacy in Fort Washington, PA, and we're hiring a full-time pharmacist. Pay is $120,000+ per year, plus a $1,200 bonus opportunity.

Here's the honest version of the job. It has three main parts:

1. Verification of prescriptions


2. Counseling patients over the phone


3. Speaking to prescribers' offices regarding clarifications, etc.

Our phones are always on during business hours. When the call queue is busy, calls are often back-to-back. Some patients require extensive communication, and your job is to remain calm and professional. (But most are thankful for the service we provide!) Performance is also measured. Workflow tasks and verification metrics are tracked to ensure the workload is evenly distributed amongst the team. You'll get direct feedback from leadership, and we'll ask for yours. Multiple pharmacists share the schedule, so we need a true team player, not someone who protects their own numbers.

We are a small business, which means we can pivot and make changes when they make sense (no corporate red tape). Real scheduled lunch breaks, very few weekend hours, no 12–14-hour shifts, and we're closed Sundays and all major holidays with holiday pay. Compounding experience isn't required. You'll receive extensive training and support during onboarding and have access to all of our clinical and process information.

What we need from you:

• An active PA pharmacist license


• 1 year of experience as a practicing pharmacist


• Genuine enjoyment of talking with patients


• Sharp attention to detail


• Coachability


• Solid computer skills

The shift is 10:30 AM–7:00 PM, with availability until 8:00 PM when needed. 11 AM- 3 PM Saturday Rotation every 4-6 weeks. The role starts on-site; after 90 days, you can earn eligibility for 1 day of work-from-home per week based on performance.
