Position: Payroll Specialist

Job Type: (Remote)

Jonesbororealtycompany is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payroll for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly basis

- Ensure accurate and timely entry of employee hours, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll-related information

- Review and verify payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations

- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to employee pay and benefits

- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including setting up new employees in the payroll system and processing final paychecks for departing employees

- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax withholdings, direct deposit information, and benefits deductions

- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and relevant departments

- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and tax-related questions

- Stay up-to-date on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and make necessary updates to company policies and procedures

- Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a fast-paced environment

- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations

- Experience with payroll software and systems

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus
