Location:
Waukesha, WI. This role is primarily on-site and will begin full time in the office, Monday through Friday. We offer some scheduling flexibility, with the possibility of one work-from-home day per week once fully established in the role.
Note:
Candidates should have 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience, strong Excel, math, and critical-thinking skills, and a post-secondary degree. Prior administrative or management experience is a plus.

Job Description
- Process weekly, biweekly, and semimonthly payroll for multiple business clients.
- Review timesheets, new hires, terminations, deductions, garnishments, direct deposits, and payroll adjustments.
- Enter and verify employee payroll information while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
- Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll information.
- Support payroll tax filings, notices, amendments, W-2 processing, and other year-end activities.
- Assist with multi-state payroll and federal, state, and local payroll compliance.
- Respond to client questions and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently and professionally.
- Assist with new client onboarding, payroll setup, and prior-record reviews.
- Maintain confidential employee and client information.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with accounting, tax, and administrative team members.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
- Post-secondary degree required.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
- Solid understanding of deductions, garnishments, payroll taxes, and year-end payroll processing.
- Strong math, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Strong communication and client service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and confidential information professionally.
- Multi-client or multi-company payroll experience strongly preferred.
- Multi-state payroll experience preferred.
- Execupay or similar payroll software experience is a plus.
- Prior administrative or management experience is a plus.
