Essential Job Functions:

• Demonstrates competency in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services.


• Responsible for all payroll functions.


• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


• Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.


• Develop and maintain payroll files


• Assist with keeping employee profile information accurate


• Assist with development and communication of policy and procedures related to payroll for risk management and upgrade efficiency.


• Monitor timecards for accuracy.


• Process incoming mail in a timely manner.


• Mange workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately.


• Process 401K, HSA and garnishment payments.


• Process manual checks.


• Organize invoices.


• Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.


• Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.


• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.


• Knowledge of multi-State and Federal laws pertaining to payroll.


• All other duties assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma/GED required (Degree in accounting or related field preferred) and at least 2 years of experience in the field.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking.

DRESS ATTIRE:  Business Casual or scrubs dependent on department
