PCA/ Nurse Assistant - Encinitas - Medical Acute 2 South - Days

This is a benefit-eligible, full-time position (72 hours every two weeks), working 12-hour day shifts (6\:30am - 7\:00pm) on various days and located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas in the Medical Acute 2 South unit.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is self-motivated and committed to providing exceptional patient care. In this role you will be assisting patients with their activities of daily living, performing vital signs, and performing EKGs. This 32 bed unit hosts primarily a patient population of medical, telemetry, and stroke patients. We are looking for someone who is looking to can work efficiently and collaborate as a team.

The general duties of the Patient Care Assistant include:

• Provides excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team
• Assists patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environment
• Assists with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician
• Supports the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties
