Key Responsibilities
- Interpret comprehensive pediatric imaging studies including radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine
- Provide expert diagnostic radiology consultations for pediatric patients across all subspecialties
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pediatric surgeons, oncologists, and other medical specialists
- Participate in teaching and mentoring radiology residents, fellows, and medical students
- Contribute to academic research initiatives and clinical studies in pediatric imaging
- Utilize advanced imaging technology and picture archiving communication systems (PACS)
- Participate in quality assurance programs and departmental conferences
- Provide consultation services for complex pediatric radiology cases
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- ABR (American Board of Radiology) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Completion of accredited Pediatric Radiology fellowship training
- CAQ (Certificate of Added Qualification) in Pediatric Radiology or eligibility to obtain within required timeframe
- Eligible for New York State medical licensure
- DEA certification or eligibility
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative practice
- Commitment to teaching and academic medicine
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior academic medicine experience
- Research experience or publications in pediatric radiology
