Medical Director, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

I. GENERAL SUMMARY
The Department of Pediatrics, University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a mid-career or senior level Neonatologist to join UM-SJMC as the level III NICU Medical Director. This position requires someone with strong clinical, operational, and leadership skills and experience in neonatal care, quality, and safety to lead the clinical service. The successful candidate will have an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and a completed Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship with Board Certification. They must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of Maryland.

In addition to the administrative functions, the medical director is also expected to carry a patient load.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.

Base Salary Range\: Assistant Professor $200,000 to $220,000 Associate Professor $230,000 to $260,000
