PEOPLE AND CULTURE MANAGER Luxury Hotel • Nashville, Tennessee • USD $70,000 - $75,000 per year
ABOUT THE ROLE We are searching for a People and Culture Manager for a busy, high-energy luxury hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, this is a hands-on generalist role supporting day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate is warm, approachable, and deeply supportive - someone who makes every team member feel welcome when they walk through the HR door, not like they are interrupting. Forbes or luxury hotel experience is strongly preferred, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential. This role offers a genuine pathway to growth. A strong performer could develop into an Assistant Director of People and Culture over time.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Serve as a trusted, welcoming People and Culture resource for team members and leaders across all departments
Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, performance management, corrective action, and workplace expectations
Conduct and document fair, thorough, and timely workplace investigations
Manage the full recruitment cycle including job postings, screening, interview coordination, offers, and onboarding
Oversee the complete team member lifecycle from hiring through separation, processing all changes accurately and on time
Administer benefits enrollment, leaves of absence, and accommodation requests in partnership with the Director
Support payroll accuracy by reviewing timekeeping, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining HRIS and ADP records
Prepare and maintain HR reports, dashboards, and workforce metrics using available systems and tools
Support team member engagement, recognition, and culture-building events and initiatives
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
WHAT YOU BRING
Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as a People and Culture or HR Manager within a luxury hospitality environment - strong Assistant Managers ready to step up will also be considered
Luxury hotel experience is required
Forbes Travel Guide property experience is strongly preferred
Experience at a fast-paced property is essential - this hotel is busy, and the role moves quickly
A calm, kind, and genuinely supportive demeanour - team members should feel welcomed, not hesitant, when approaching HR
Tech-savvy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, ADP, and reporting tools
Strong organizational skills with experience supporting team events, vendor coordination, and culture initiatives
Solid knowledge of employee relations, performance management, recruiting, and benefits administration
Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices
SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
Must have valid US work authorization - visa sponsorship is not available
