Job Description:

Manages circulatory and respiratory functions of the heart-lung machine during surgical procedures. Oversees extracorporeal circulation and cardiopulmonary support. Monitors invasive pressure of Arterial and Swan Ganz catheters. Operates Autotransfusion and Cell saver for surgical procedures. Records intraoperative STS data for the adult cardiac surgery registry. Supervises the Intra-aortic balloon pump in the CVOR. Maintains and cares for capital equipment. Checks and restocks disposable supplies. Remains available for On-Call status for emergent CABG/Perfusion cases. Operates point of care blood testing devices. Manages the heparin management system. Documents all relevant information in the medical record. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office products. [Required]

• Good written and oral communication skills required. [Required]

• Perfusion equipment and monitoring devices [Required]

• Pharmacology for Perfusion procedures [Required]

• STS data collection and evaluation [Preferred]

• ECMO and TAVR knowledge [Preferred]

• Cerner PMR documentation experience preferred [Preferred]

• Knowledge of Extracorporeal circulation/ cardiopulmonary support, anticoagulation/hematological analysis, use of auto transfusion / apheresis, intra-aortic balloon equipment. [Required]



Education:

• Bachelor's [Required]



Field of Study:

• with successful completion of perfusion or circulation technologies certification



Work Experience:

• 1+ experience [Preferred]

• ECMO and TAVR experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) [Required] 

• Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) [Preferred] 

• Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:

$120,753.52 - $224,614.47
