Neonatologist - Permanent Position in Johns Creek, GA

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a 16-bed Level III NICU.


• Manage an average daily census of 7–8 NICU patients.


• Deliver specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns.


• Attend and manage high-risk deliveries.


• Provide care for healthy newborns in the newborn nursery.


• Collaborate closely with Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) and multidisciplinary teams.


• Participate in continuous 24/7 onsite NEOS coverage.


• Support over 1,100 annual deliveries.


• Deliver evidence-based, family-centered neonatal care.


• Work in collaboration with 371 Emory faculty physicians and numerous other specialists.


• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.


• Completion of Neonatology training/fellowship.


• Georgia Medical License (or willingness to obtain).


• Clean Malpractice/License History (highly preferred).


• Neonatology experience (experienced candidates only).


• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).


• DEA registration must be obtained prior to start.

License and Certification Requirements

• Board eligibility in Neonatology is required.


• Georgia Medical License (or willingness to obtain).


• DEA registration (if required for clinical practice).
