Perm - Pediatrics: Hospitalist - MD/DO

Job Title: Perm - Physician - Hospitalist - Pediatric

Join a dynamic and supportive team at a state-of-the-art facility in Henderson, NV, which features a 30-bed pediatric emergency department. This facility offers a unique chance to provide top-notch pediatric emergency care to a community in need, with robust support from specialized teams and a focus on education for residents and fellows.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality pediatric emergency care in a busy, 30-bed pediatric ER with volumes approaching 55,000 patients annually.


• Collaborate closely with Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) physicians, hospitalists, and subspecialty teams.


• Participate in a supportive environment with child life specialists and pediatric social workers integrated into ER care.


• Contribute to teaching and mentorship of pediatric, emergency medicine, and family practice residents, as well as Pediatric ER fellows.


• Work full-time, covering twelve 12-hour shifts per month.


• Utilize full scribe coverage to enhance efficiency and patient care quality.


• Engage with affiliated Pediatric ICU, CVICU, and NICU teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions.


• Open to BC/BE candidates (fresh graduates and experienced providers welcome, but recent inpatient experience required).


• This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.

Qualifications:

• Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED.


• Valid Nevada Medical License or willingness to obtain - REQUIRED.


• Clean malpractice and license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED.


• Current or recent inpatient hospital experience - REQUIRED.


• Open to BC/BE candidates (fresh graduates and experienced providers welcome, but recent inpatient experience required).

License and Certification Requirements:

• DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED.


• CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED.
