Permanency Worker

Make a lasting difference as a Permanency Worker! 

The Permanency Worker is structured as a 2-part role. This employee will carry full case management for cases with goals of substitute care, adoption, or guardianship, and completing adoption and guardianship subsidies for children in the Princeton, Ottawa, and Aurora areas. 

*This role does involve a large amount of driving and requires a reliable vehicle with liability coverage limits: bodily injury $100,000 each person / $300,000 each accident, and property damage $50,000 for each accident.

You will be required to obtain this insurance coverage within 30 days of hire. Agency vehicles are available but not guaranteed.

Qualifications:

• 21 years old


• Valid driver's license 


• Reliable vehicle 


• Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field


• Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL)


• Experience with children


• Experience facilitating meetings 


• Organized, adaptable, and independent 


• Proficient in communication (verbal and written)


• Knowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook email, typing)
  

Duties: 

• Full case management for goals other than reunification  

• Writing subsidies and ensuring completion of all items necessary for subsidy submission 

• May carry reunification cases
  as needed/when required by supervisor 

• Obtain subsidy signatures in person 

• Attend DCFS adoption meetings
