Attentive Care is a licensed, CHAP-accredited home health care agency dedicated to helping clients remain safe and independent in their own homes. We provide compassionate, in-home personal care and support services throughout Long Island, NY.

As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing essential daily assistance and companionship.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing one-on-one support with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and personal hygiene assistance
• Offering companionship and emotional support to clients
• Running errands and assisting with transportation as needed
• Ensuring client safety and comfort in the home environment
• Reporting changes in client condition to supervisors and maintaining accurate documentation

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Current NYS Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification
• Recent experience working for a licensed home care agency as a PCA within the past 2 years
• Verifiable NYS PCA certification and employment history on the Home Care Registry via the Health Commerce System
• Ability to frequently lift and/or transfer clients averaging approximately 150 lbs, with or without assistance
• English proficiency for effective client communication
• Authorized to work in the United States
• At least 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual proficiency in any additional language
