Pay: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

Location

Richmond, VA market. This is a fully remote opportunity open to attorneys residing anywhere in Virginia, giving you the flexibility to build your practice from wherever you work best within the state.

Note

Candidates must have an active Virginia Bar license and at least 1+ year of personal injury law experience. This is a Virginia-based remote position, so candidates must reside in Virginia.

Job Description

• Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters from inception through settlement or litigation.
• Develop case strategies by evaluating liability, damages, medical records, evidence, and potential recovery.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, expectations, and next steps.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, settlement documents, case summaries, and other filings.
• Conduct and defend depositions and actively participate in the discovery process.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel.
• Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, hearings, and trial when appropriate.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and other litigation-related matters.
• Maintain accurate case records and manage court deadlines across a busy caseload.
• Collaborate remotely with attorneys, case managers, and support staff to move cases efficiently toward resolution.
• Provide responsive, compassionate, and professional representation throughout each client's case.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Virginia Bar license required.
• 1+ year of personal injury law experience required.
• Experience handling personal injury matters through various stages of litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and client communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload and competing deadlines.
• Experience with discovery and depositions.
• Deposition and trial experience preferred.
• Spanish fluency is a plus.
• Comfortable using technology and legal case management systems in a remote environment.
• Must reside in Virginia.

• Salary bands (ONLY IF ATTORNEY ROLE):

• 1 to 2 years directly relevant experience: $85K to $92K

• 3 to 4 years directly relevant experience: $93K to $102K

• 5 to 7 years directly relevant experience: $103K to $110K

• 8+ years directly relevant experience: $111K to $115K
