Job Description - Personal Lines Account Executive
Job Purpose
This position is a hybrid sales and service role designed to support the expansion of Crest's Personal Lines presence in the Las Vegas market. The Account Executive will play a key role in establishing and growing Crest's Personal Lines presence in the Las Vegas market through sales activity, relationship development, and high-quality client service.
This role is intended for an experienced Personal Lines professional who is interested in in a sales-focused role. As the first dedicated Personal Lines presence in this market, the Account Executive must be comfortable operating independently, representing Crest professionally, while exercising independent judgment in coverage placement, client advocacy, and sales execution.
Essential Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Actively develop new Personal Lines business through referrals, cross-sell opportunities, and outbound relationship building
Own and manage new business opportunities from initial contact through close
Prepare, present, and close Personal Lines proposals
Identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions to prospects and clients
Build strong referral relationships with internal partners and external sources
Represent Crest professionally within the Las Vegas market and broader community
Account Management & Retention
Manage and service assigned Personal Lines book of business
Maintain strong retention through proactive renewal reviews and remarketing
Perform endorsements, policy changes, and day-to-day servicing as needed
Conduct coverage reviews and round accounts to improve client outcomes
Provide claims reporting, follow-up, monitoring, and advocacy on behalf of clients
Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to agency workflows and Best Practices
Carrier & Market Management
Prepare submissions, analyze coverage, and negotiate terms with carriers
Request and evaluate quotes to ensure appropriate coverage and pricing
Communicate effectively with underwriters to resolve questions and place coverage
Maintain strong carrier relationships to support both service and sales efforts
General Responsibilities
Act independently and exercise discretion in performing work that impacts business operations
Utilize agency systems and technology accurately and efficiently
Follow agency standards of excellence and error prevention practices
Develop and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships
Perform other duties as assigned
Technology & Systems
Applied EPIC agency management system
Personal Lines rating platforms (e.g., EZLynx)
Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
Carrier websites and portals
Adherence to agency workflows, procedures, and data accuracy standards
Qualifications
Five (5) or more years of Personal Lines insurance experience
Active resident state Property & Casualty license required
Ability to obtain and maintain non-resident licenses as required
Demonstrated experience in both servicing and selling Personal Lines insurance
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Professional insurance designations (CPCU, CIC, AAI, ARM) preferred.
