Personal Vehicle Package Delivery - SWITCHBACK LOGISTICS FedEx

Switchback Logistics Corp is seeking highly motivated drivers to deliver packages from the comfort of their personal vehicle!

Pays $20.00 an hour:

• $12.00 hourly base pay plus $8.00/hour vehicle usage reimbursement (dependent on vehicle type). The reimbursement is NOT subject to taxes.

AND

• We pay for your fuel used while delivering!

Full Time Position (4 to 5 days per week, possibly more if desired)

The ideal candidate will be able to deal effectively with customers, maintain a positive FedEx image while making deliveries and managing area priorities effectively. The candidate will be punctual, self-starting and have a competitive drive. A sense of pride, maturity and reliability are key defining attributes.

The ideal vehicle will be fuel efficient while having high capacity and easy access for packages (think mid-size SUV and crossover vehicles). Vehicles must be in good mechanical and cosmetic condition and less than 15 years old (model year 2012 and newer) to meet required FedEx standards.

Candidates will agree to utilize their personal vehicle to deliver packages primarily in Watauga but also Ashe and Avery counties as needed. This position reports to work at the FedEx Ground terminal in Newton NC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow through and deliver all packages safely
• Complete all pick-ups assigned to route within the scheduled timeframe
• Deliver and scan every package according to proper procedure
• Meet and greet customers in a positive manner
• Safely operate personal vehicle
• Communicate promptly and effectively with management on time critical issues
• Maintain satisfactory condition of vehicle

Education: Highschool or equivalent (preferred)

Experience: No commercial driving experience required

License/Certification: Valid driver's license and at least 21 years old (required)

• 21 Years Old
• Reliable personal vehicle less than 15 years old
• Pass criminal background check
• Pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
• Pass pre-employment and random drug screens
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Basic mathematical skills
• Basic map reading abilities
• Demonstrated proficiency in route operations
• Physical ability to regularly lift 50lb packages and maneuver up to 150lbs
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
