POSITION DESCRIPTION 

Under the auspices of the Director of Pharmacy, the staff pharmacist is responsible for assuring drug therapy needs. This individual establishes rapport with other departments as well as the medical staff and nursing services. He/she supervises department personnel in the absence of the Director or the Assistant Director.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
1.    Individual must be a registered pharmacist, R.Ph. or Pharm.D in the State of California.
2.    Individual shall preferably have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed a hospital residency.
3.    Individual shall preferably have a minimum of two (2) years experience in hospital pharmacy practice or equivalent.
4.    Individual shall be familiar with unit dose, IV admixtures, and clinical pharmacy practice.
