DESCRIPTION

Vision Quest Solutions is seeking experienced Pharmacists to provide comprehensive pharmacy services at Gallup Indian Medical Center in Gallup, New Mexico.

The Pharmacist will support safe and effective medication management while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, and other healthcare professionals serving the Gallup Service Unit.

Key responsibilities include:

• Review medication orders and prescriptions for appropriateness, accuracy, interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic effectiveness
• Prepare, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with applicable pharmacy standards
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients
• Support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services as assigned
• Provide drug information and clinical pharmacy support to healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate medication and pharmacy documentation
• Support medication inventory and pharmaceutical supply management
• Promote medication safety and appropriate medication use
• Maintain compliance with IHS, federal, pharmacy, and patient-safety requirements
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support quality patient care

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited school or college of pharmacy
• Current, active, unrestricted pharmacist license
• Ability to provide professional pharmacist services within the scope of practice
• Knowledge of medication safety, drug interactions, contraindications, dosing, and pharmaceutical care
• Ability to provide patient medication counseling and education
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely pharmacy documentation
• Ability to successfully complete IHS credentialing and onboarding requirements
• Ability to successfully complete required HSPD-12 security/background requirements
