Shift: 5x8 Days (Rotating weekend every 5th; rotating call required)
Pay: $3,408/week
Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for a 13-week travel assignment. The Pharmacist will supervise and provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care for inpatient and outpatient services. Responsibilities include medication dispensing, IV admixture verification, chemotherapy preparation, TPN services, medication reconciliation, and clinical intervention activities. The role requires strong clinical judgment and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and cost-effective medication therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Screen, prioritize, and verify medication orders


• Dispense stat, now, and scheduled medications


• Verify IV admixtures and chemotherapy preparations


• Manage TPN orders and preparation


• Refill and verify code carts and Pyxis loads


• Perform medication reconciliation


• Identify, resolve, and prevent drug-related problems


• Provide drug information and clinical recommendations


• Perform renal dosing, CrCl calculations, and antibiotic dosing (e.g., vancomycin/gentamicin)


• Document clinical interventions and adverse drug events


• Compound medications as required

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent hospital pharmacist experience required


• Active Idaho Pharmacist license required (must be attached at submission)


• BLS certification required (AHA only)


• Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations


• Experience with IV admixture, chemotherapy, and TPN required


• Must be willing to work rotating weekends and call
