Pharmacy Tech II Inpatient Pharmacy

Assist pharmacists to perform routine/technical duties in the provision of hospital pharmacy services.  Fill stock orders, medication preparation for dispensing. Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods with patient safety in mind.  Ability to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff.  Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.  Ability to set priorities and solve problems.  Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests.  Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing).

High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Certified technician and related technical or college courses desirable but not required. Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Intern required. Pharmacy Technician Certification from PTCB or NPTA require to be obtained within 12 months of hire date
