Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $17.30 to $25.95 per hour. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential (Responsibilities)
Interpret computer-generated fill lists and utilize advanced Carousel dispensing technology to provide the appropriate medication, dosage, form, strength, size, and quantity for distribution to designated automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) once work is verified by a pharmacist.
Efficiently load, refill, and inventory automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) after pharmacist verification.
Transport patient-specific medications safely and efficiently to active patient care areas
Re-package bulk medications following strict Federal and State regulatory guidelines.
Handle controlled substance distribution safely using our vault system and ADC integration.
Team up with nurses and pharmacists to investigate inventory discrepancies and enforce strict storage safety standards.
Generate patient charges through our pharmacy computer system and handle incoming phone calls with excellent customer service.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED required
Pharmacy Technician National Certification (CPhT or ExCPT) and New York State registration within 1 year of hire required
Prior Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
Prior experience with Omnicell, Cerner, RX30 or other similar programs preferred
A strong understanding of generic and brand medication names.
Understanding of medical terminology preferred
Skills/Abilities
Ability to share information clearly with peers, supervisors, and healthcare customers.
Fast and accurate data entry skills with an ability to master department-specific software.
Comfort calculating dosages using standard ratios, proportions, and basic algebra.
A strong understanding of generic and brand medication names.
