Physical Rehab Technician

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest. St. Francis Hospital opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs' community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Hospital features 340-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Center, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Acute Inpatient Rehab, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit. It also serves as southern Colorado's home base for the Flight For Life Colorado air medical transport service. As a Rehab Tech you will:

• Delegate direct or indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech language pathologist or other licensed/registered clinicians.
• Treatment set-up and take-down.
• Patient scheduling.
• Filing.
• Stocking supplies.
• Tracking data.
• Equipment maintenance and cleaning.

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous rehab experience in outpatient, inpatient or inpatient rehab unit preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Basic computer skills required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Physical Requirements-Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly

This physical therapy rehab tech works Mon-Fri 7:30-4:00 pm and one weekend every 4 weeks on a rotation. There is also a required holiday rotation.
