Job Description - Physical Therapist


A hospital in Ada, OK is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its rehabilitation services team. This role provides direct patient care in an acute clinical environment, supporting patients recovering from injury, surgery, or illness while helping restore mobility, strength, and functional independence.


Position Overview


The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions in accordance with facility standards and clinical protocols. The role requires strong clinical reasoning, adaptability, and the ability to manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced healthcare setting.


This position also involves ongoing reassessment of patient progress and coordination with interdisciplinary care teams to support optimal recovery outcomes.


Key Responsibilities


• Perform patient evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional ability
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated
• Document patient care accurately and in compliance with facility standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercise programs
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition or clinical priorities
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols and rehabilitation best practices


Qualifications


• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Oklahoma required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand clinical environment required
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision preferred
