Stern at Home Therapy is hiring full-time Physical Therapists to provide one-on-one care to patients throughout Manhattan — with established caseloads already built on both the East Side and West Side, so you can create an efficient schedule with minimal travel between visits. Strong candidates with part-time or PRN availability are also welcome to apply.

About Stern at Home Therapy

We're a home therapy practice built on the belief that better care happens when clinicians aren't rushed. Our PTs manage their own caseloads, treat one patient at a time, and have dedicated administrative support behind them handling scheduling and logistics — so you can focus on the patient in front of you.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate and treat a primarily geriatric caseload in patients' homes throughout Manhattan


• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans with full clinical autonomy


• Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, safety, and overall function


• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation


• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and the clinical team


• Coordinate with our administrative team on scheduling and logistics


• Manage your caseload according to your own availability and chosen employment structure

Compensation Options

We're prioritizing full-time hires, but will consider part-time or PRN candidates with strong availability.

Full-Time Salary:

• $92,000–$110,000/year

Full-Time 1099 (Tiered Contractor):

• $70–$80 per follow-up visit, increasing as you move up the tiered structure


• $85 per 4-unit evaluation


• Earning potential up to $145,000/year based on visit volume

Full-Time W-2 (Tiered Per-Visit):

• $55–$70 per follow-up visit, increasing as you move up the tiered structure


• $75 per 4-unit evaluation

Part-Time (W-2):

• $65 per follow-up visit


• $75 per 4-unit evaluation

PRN:

• $72 per 4-unit follow-up visit


• $85 per evaluation

Our Scheduling Assurance Plan

We back up our promise to keep your caseload full: if we can't fill your schedule and can't replace a cancellation, you get paid for up to 2 cancellations per month.

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in New York


• Reliable transportation


• Ability to work independently in a home-based setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Home health experience


• Strong clinical, communication, and time-management skills


• Full-time availability preferred; part-time or PRN candidates with strong availability will also be considered
