Job Description - Physical Therapist - Outpatient PT - Community Memorial Hospital

**$20,000 Sign On Bonus for offers accepted by May 31, 2026. Terms and Conditions apply**

This position offers the opportunity to practice in a quiet, rural community with the benefit of being part of a larger university health system—providing both a close-knit team environment and access to broader resources and support.

Our clinic treats a wide variety of orthopedic and neurologic diagnoses, with the potential to expand into pediatric populations for clinicians interested in developing that area of practice. This variety allows for meaningful, well-rounded clinical work and continued professional growth.

We are located within driving distance of Metro Richmond and Raleigh, with easy access to both the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Atlantic coast, making weekend travel simple and enjoyable.

Our department places a strong emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, and supporting one another, and our well-equipped facility allows clinicians to deliver high-quality care across a range of patient needs- including an on-site rehabilitation pool for aquatic therapy. We also support continuing education and advanced certifications, encouraging clinicians to grow and specialize over time.

This role is ideal for someone looking for a different pace of practice. You can build relationships with patients, work as part of a supportive team, and enjoy a better balance between work and life outside the clinic.

The Physical Therapist Clinician II is primarily responsible for the delivery of physical therapy care to the patient population to which she/he is assigned and the recording of that care in the hospital medical record.

The therapist acts as a consultant to various patient populations.

The Physical Therapist Clinician II provides instruction to OT/PT support staff, PT students, personnel of other disciplines within VCUHS, and patient and/or family members. Therapists may rotate through our various clinical service areas.
