Your Role

As a key member of the surgical team, you will:

• 
  

  Serve as the primary first assistant for major and minor general surgical procedures

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with laparoscopic, robotic, elective, and acute care cases

  
  


• 
  

  Evaluate and round on postoperative patients in the hospital

  
  


• 
  

  Participate in inpatient surgical consultations

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with perioperative patient management

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct postoperative and surgical follow-up visits in the office

  Develop strong relationships with patients throughout their surgical care

  Work directly with the attending surgeon to develop your clinical and operative skills

  Gradually assume increasing autonomy and responsibility as experience is gained

Schedule & Call

  Monday–Friday schedule

  Elective surgery, inpatient rounding, consultations, and office hours

Qualifications

• 
  

  Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

  NCCPA certification

  Current or eligible New Jersey PA license

  Surgical experience preferred; 1–2 years is ideal

  Strong interest in general and acute care surgery
