Physician Assistant - Inpatient Acute Care

We are seeking a full-time Physician Assistant for our Inpatient Acute Care / Observation Unit who is passionate about patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and community impact. Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Excellence

• 
  

  Deliver comprehensive healthcare services including preventive, chronic, and acute care for patients ranging from infant to geriatric populations.

  
  


• 
  

  Obtain detailed medical histories and perform thorough physical examinations.

  
  


• 
  

  Diagnose illnesses and develop evidence-based treatment plans, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform health risk assessments, screenings, and patient counseling within the Observation Unit.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide continuity of care through progress notes, patient management plans, and care coordination.

  
  

Patient Education & Engagement

• 
  

  Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and health maintenance.

  
  


• 
  

  Counsel patients on compliance with therapeutic regimens and lifestyle modifications.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide medical and mental health education to promote long-term wellness.

  
  

Quality & Safety

• 
  

  Deliver care aligned with current evidence-based guidelines and best practice standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical documentation.

  Participate in quality assurance activities and clinical audits.

Required Qualifications

• 
  

  Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

  
  


• 
  

  Current or eligible licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois.

  
  


• 
  

  NCCPA certification.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced inpatient or acute care environment.
