Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Summary: Tryon Medical Partners is looking for a Gastroenterologist to provide long-term, comprehensive care to our patients and manage both common and complex diseases. You should be able to effectively diagnose patients and suggest a successful course of treatment.

Responsibilities:

Consult with patients, their primary care providers, other physicians, including at times oncologists, to coordinate and provide seem less gastrointestinal care.
Ordering and interpreting specialized tests to diagnose patient gastrointestinal illnesses.
Proficiency in interpreting serious radiological tests including CT scans, MRI scans, x-ray reports, ultrasound testing, among others.
Competently perform endoscopic tests to evaluate the gastrointestinal tract.

Requirements:

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree.
MD or DO degree.
Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine.
Valid North Carolina medical license.

Experience:

Completion of 3 year Gastroenterology fellowship.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Outstanding research and analytical skills.
Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients.

Physical Requirements:

Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling.
Must be able to lift and support weight of 35 pounds.
Ability to concentrate on details.
Use of computer for long periods of time.
