Clinical Practice Provide high-quality geriatric and family medicine care in an outpatient setting:
Ambulatory Services
Comprehensive primary care for older adults (60% time)
Management of complex geriatric syndromes, polypharmacy, and multimorbidity
Preventive care, wellness visits, and chronic disease management
Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care
Patient Population Primarily older adults with:
Multiple chronic conditions
Cognitive impairment and dementia
Frailty and functional decline
Falls, incontinence, and geriatric syndromes
Complex medication regimens
End-of-life and palliative care needs
Academic & Faculty Role (40% time) Play a key leadership role in education and program development:
Teach and mentor Family Medicine residents and medical students
Develop geriatric curriculum and training experiences
Lead administrative initiatives to enhance geriatric services
Participate in quality improvement projects and protocol development
Support the growth of new residency programs and the upcoming osteopathic medical school
Schedule
Monday–Friday ambulatory schedule with dedicated academic/administrative time
Balanced split between clinical practice and faculty responsibilities
Minimal or no call (specifics to be discussed)
Strong Clinical Support
Multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, and care coordinators
Strong collaboration with Family Medicine faculty and specialists
Dedicated support for academic and quality improvement work
