Position Title: Physician Specialist

Address: 500 State Hospital Dr, Osawatomie, KS 66064

Shift hours: M-F 8:00 a.m. 4:30 pm

Facility Name: Psychiatric Hospital

Duration: 3-6 months

Openings: 1

Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric and medical services.
• Admit, evaluate, and treat patients in accordance with facility standards.
• Document assessments, treatments, and discharge plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Enter medication orders using the WinPharm pharmacy system.
• Actively participate in individualized, multidisciplinary treatment planning and discharge coordination.
• Contribute to hospital-wide performance improvement activities and medical staff assignments.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to prepare court reports and serve as an expert witness during hearings.

Qualifications:

• Completion of medical school training.
• Residency in Psychiatry or at least two years of an approved residency training program.
• Active medical license in Kansas.
• Experience and expertise in psychiatric and medical medications.
