Job Description - Pickleball Teaching Professional

PICKLEBALL PROFESSIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports To: Director of Fitness and Sports Courts

Directly Manages: No One

Position Type: Independent Contractor

Essential Position Functions:

Teach private lessons, clinics, and team practices as required by Star Farms at Lakewood Ranch members.

Communicates all issues and programs with the Director of Fitness and Sports Courts to ensure all policies are consistent with those of Star Farms at Lakewood Ranch.

Assists residents and guests with court reservations and booking as needed.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated knowledge of sports programming and tennis.

Must be in excellent physical condition.

Educational Experiences and Requirements:

Professional Certification from the IPTPA or PPA.

CPR, AED, First Aid Certifications.

5 years’ experience and/or the equivalent experience and training in a private, member-owned club/space. Hospitality resort experience, preferred.

Working Conditions:

Works indoors and outdoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals, and or solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.

Must be in excellent physical condition and perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, lifting, and grasping for extended periods of time.
